Lending and cash-desk services finish ten minutes before closing time (at 12.45 or 6.50 p.m.)

During the months of July and August, the contemporary architecture archives can no longer be consulted. They become consultable again from September, by appointment.

To consult archive material, you need to make arrangements directly with library personnel.

Read about Exhibitions
This section lists the most important Italian and international art exhibitions whose catalogues have been acquired by the library. These catalogues can be consulted in the Poletti Library. While the exhibition in question is still open, its catalogue is only available for consultation inside the library. It may be taken out on loan only after 12 noon on Saturdays, provided it is returned by 3.30 p.m. on the following Monday. This limit for its return is strictly obligatory, on pain of sanctions, as specified by regulations.

Proposing purchases

Any reader can propose that the library buys books it does not currently own (1 a month).

All the materials in the library may be copied, providing that current laws on authors’ rights and privacy are respecting.

The reproduction of rare, antique and precious documents is only permitted after due authorisation, using photocopying technology (not with museum equipment) or photographic reproduction (with reproducers’ equipment or by a third party authorised by the library).

Self-service photocopying in b/w or colour, with prepaid card
